This site is devoted exclusively to provide information on the wild orchids of Cambodia. The genera and species presented here are based on years of research with a number of partners and individuals. It is not the official checklist but you can be sure that what we present here has been documented officially somewhere in space and time. If we do not have the data for some species presented, you will find links to further help you recognize the species.
This site is part of a larger initiative to document and research the existing species present in the Kingdom. It is crucial to know what we have and to be able to measure our knowledge with the changes in our environment. In doing this research, we want to bring your attention to the diversity, beauty and magic of the orchids of Cambodia. We also want to relay an important message to all orchid fans and to the public that all wild orchids are considered protected species. We ask everyone to be considerate with the environment and to leave wild orchids where they are best: in their environment.
Some sections of this site give you information about orchids in general and how to best keep and take care of them.
